HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE CARNIVAL!

A FREE program for Evanston's 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders. 

This summer, for the last three weekends in June, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be Evanston Olympians!

From a communitywide Torch Run and Opening & Closing Ceremonies to playing new and old sports, we’re reimagining the playing field and introducing kids to sports they might love for life.

The Commitment:

  • Sports Carnivals on May 18th or May 19th - COMPLETED

  • Attend the National Assembly meeting (parent meeting) on Sunday, June 2nd from 3pm - 5pm. COMPLETED 

  • Be in town and available one or more of the weekends from Friday, June 14 - Sunday, June 30 to participate in as many sports as possible.

  • Attend practices to learn the basic skills and drills associated with the sport. Generally, practices will take place the week before following this schedule:

    • Saturday Competitions: Monday and Wednesday evenings

    • Sunday Competitions: Tuesday and Thursday evenings

  • Attend competitions on Friday nights, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.

  • Compete and have Fun!!
